The stylistic editing involves ensuring clear and concise writing, writing that is free of errors, correcting citations, correctly formatting headings, figures, tables, etc. This type of service involves line by line editing. The developmental editing, also referred to as structural editing, is a step above stylistic editing and involves substantial editing of the draft. This type of editing is frequently requested for editing the literature review. However, depending on the quality of the draft, other parts or chapters of the dissertation may also require developmental editing. For example, an editor might take 5 underdeveloped paragraphs and develop 3 new paragraphs using the original content. That is why this type of editing is also referred to as structural editing, meaning that the structure of the paragraphs in the edited draft will be significantly improved after editing.  

Coaching, as the word suggests, involves helping you develop a chapter that meets requirements. As part of this service, a 2-hour review, you will receive embedded feedback, suggestions for improving your draft, and samples as necessary. The feedback that you will receive will help you develop components that meet rubric requirements. If you request this service, the rubric must be included and additional small fee might be applied ($50.00 fee). The fees for a 2-hour review are provided below. Additional 1-hour reviews might be requested as needed.
